We are very close to the end of Term 2 already, which seems a little crazy!! This term we have been having a great time going to the zoo with the mixed age group in Alexandra. The children have started moving around the room alot more and interacting with each other as they share instruments and sometimes even the occasional banana! It has been great to see and hear the children joining in the actions and at times, the singing of the songs, as both their fine motor skills and language, start to develop.

The older children in both Alex and Mansfield, have loved going into space each week. We have visited the moon and collected rocks, danced around the sun and Saturn and even had a very funny dinner party with some aliens!! Their confidence in singing has become more obvious, and they have enjoyed the poem 5 Little Astronauts floating in Space. It's fantastic to see the children's listening and singing skills improve as they become more comfortable during class. They have all mastered the skill of moving around like a rocket and the last few weeks, have been using hula hoops as cars to drive into space, which has been interesting to watch!

The last class for Alex we will be having a joint party at 10am which will also be a make-up class and the time for the children to receive thier certificates. This will be on June 16th. The last class in Mansfield will be a the usual time, where we will have certificates and some very little treats at the end. This will be on June 17th.

Thanks again for all of the fun musical times and look foward to seeing you all next term for a 6 week program starting July 14th and 15th, which is the fisrt week back at school!!

Well we have come to the end of another term at Simone's Music Garden! Term 1 flew by so fast that I didn;t even have time to write a newsletter! It has been a great term with lots of new faces and have enjoyed it immensly.

Next term I will be starting 3 new classes, 2 in Alexandra and 1 in Mansfield. I will be starting in the second week of the school term , in order to give everyone a chance to settle into the school term!

1 of the classes in Alex will be the mixed-age group with lots of music and dancing to the zoo to meet lots of our favourite animals! The other class will be for older preschool aged children interested in flying off into space and going for a sapce walk on the moon and other planets!

The class in Mansfield will be for Preschool aged children and also about Space, rockets and dancing on the moon.

I will also be continuing to go to the Alex day care centre where we have been going to the beach, rowing our boats across the ocean and dancing on big ships! I will commence my music sessions at Alex kinder also, making it a very busy term indeed!

Thankyou so much to all of the families who have come and joined in with the fun and magic of music. It has been great to hear singing voices and dancing bodies come alive, of all ages and stages!

WELCOME TO TERM 4 OF SIMONE'S MUSIC GARDEN Well we made it through winter, hooray to some sunshine and lots of rain to help all those beautiful flowers grow!

This term there will be many of the classes continuing over from term 3 and also a few new ones to join.

Mansfield classes will begin 5th October for babies and toddlers and then the following week the 12th October the preschoolers and school children will start.

Alexandra you will all start on the 8th October along with me visiting the day care centre and the kinder in Alexandra!

Over the year it has been so great to see children growing in confidence in the classes. Some children may try new instruments, sing a little louder or dance with more enthusiasm!

You as their parents and carers, make a huge difference to how your child grows in class. Showing them how to play an instrument, how to sing a song and how being silly is really pretty fun, helps your child relax and feel comfortable, even though you may feel uncomfortable yourself!

The home materials that you receive are a great way to keep the music going at home and also help your own confidence in singing and dancing!

I look foward to all of the singing, fun and musical growing we will all experience this term!

WELCOME TO TERM 3 OF SIMONE'S MUSIC GARDEN Term 3 will be a cold one with winter already here, but we are very lucky to have two very cosy and warm environments for classes in Mansfield and Alexandra. After the cold party in Alexandra, brrrrr, and also a little chilly for Mansfield, I think next time I may need to find another venue! It was great to have all the parents and the children together though, singing and dancing to stay warm!

In Mansfield I have added another day to accomodate for the family time classes and also those extra toddlers that seem to be popping up everywhere! We start classes on Monday the 13th July and Wednesday the 15th July. Currently there are a few spots left in family time and the village class.

In Alexandra we will be starting on Thursday the 16th of July in the CEACA building. Family Time has also been added to Alex as many of the families from last term had more than one child, so it was a perfect solution! There are some spots left in Family Time and Cities classes for those imaginative preschoolers!

So remember to stay warm this winter, rug up, dance inside with your new CD's, play those instruments loudly around the house and sing, sing, sing!!

WELCOME TO SIMONE'S MUSIC GARDEN'S FIRST ONLINE NEWSLETTER!

Well done on finding my website and taking the time to explore the different parts! There are links to other sites you may find useful, some info about myself and also upcoming events to put into your diary.

Being June, it is close to the school holidays but just wanted to say to everyone what a great term 2 we have had! In Mansfield ran four classes, some new and some continuing from term 1 and we have loved being in Curia street. It has nice soft carpet, a great heater to keep us all warm and toasty, and it has created such a beautiful cosy atmosphere.

With the toddler class being so big and all the dancing we do, I am considering running two classes as it would be more ideal to have HEAPS of movin' and groovin' for this age group!

I look foward to seeing you all after the holidays too, for 4 brand new classes starting!

In Alexandra, we have had a great time with big classes and plenty of noise and action in each class. It has been so fantastic meeing do many new families in the areas and I am looking foward to seeing you all after the holidays.

HOLIDAY PROGRAM! Yes I am running a 3 day holiday program for toddlers to 5 year olds, in Mansfield. Alexandra families, you are welcome to come along also and meet some of the other famileis in this area. You can come to all 3 or just 1. Ring me for more details of times and age groups.
